About Us

Genesis Community Care is a school for developmentally disabled adults and a food pantry in Hollywood, FL. The school and pantry have been in operation for 15 years. We have over 100 students and growing. Our students participate in activities for daily living, job and life skills, Special Olympics, and mental health counseling. We also provide literacy, music, art, dance, and physical fitness. Our food pantry serves over 400 families weekly. The Pierce Street Church of Christ is also housed on campus for the students and community every Sunday.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide adults with developmental disabilities a safe and positive learning environment. Genesis Community Care provides students with the resources for community involvement, and the tools to integrate seamlessly into society by providing job training and mental health counseling. Our target is to help our students establish goals, improve self-esteem, promote changes in behavior, and strive for improved mental well-being. We pride ourselves on providing tools needed to best cope with challenges that come with being an adult with developmental disabilities.
